Good afternoon 6th graders. It’s always a hectic ending to our school year with your “walking away.” I feel I did not get to wish everyone good luck with your summer and coming middle school career. I’m very proud of you all. Hope you stop in and visit. Leave a comment if you’d like to share your summer plans with us. Check back once in a while this summer if you would like to continue and stay in touch with your class.

Tuesday
Thanks to the PTO for our ice cream social with Dr. Jarpe this afternoon. We secretly signed the school aerial photo from the yearbook, then had this framed for him. Also thanks to Dairy Queen for supplying the ice cream bars we enjoyed during the festivities.
Homework tonight is to complete our Summer of the Monkeys picture (in color, full page), WEB is due 8 days from now, read Ch. 20 of ROOT, bring a paper bag for your artwork, bring books for the book swap, and write a one page letter in cursive to your kindergarten buddy.
Stay cool and enjoy your evening.

Monday
Students need to complete 12.2/12.3 in their history journal, WEB projects are due next Wednesday (as are math redos), read Ch. 18 of Running out of Time, sign science test and if you haven’t done so please bring your 4.50 for our field trip.
I reminded the students today of their study island accounts and all were able to log in successfully, I’ve linked the study island site to the side of this blog. Remember this site is designed to support student learning in specific areas – it’s a great way to beef up any weaknesses.
